Amazing Savings carries a full line of merchandise at the Downtown Market that includes fresh meat from our own butcher shop, deli meats and cheeses sliced in our Olive Tree Café daily, fresh produce organic and conventional (local produce will be a featured item during the growing season!), organic all-natural and gourmet groceries, frozen food, milk, eggs, dairy, bread, local honeys and jellies, health and beauty items, toiletries, cleaners, and many more items.
Amazing Savings is currently open every day of the week, Monday through Sunday 10am-7pm.
Asheville has a lot to offer, and we plan to do the very same thing: offer a lot…quality, variety, and discounts-all from our new location at the Downtown Market!

The hi-fi Coffee Bar is a family owned and operated coffee shop supporting local business, artists and musicians. We are inspired to share and grow with our community.
The cafe is open every day, Monday through Sunday, 10am-7pm, offering a unique backdrop amongst the eclectic merchants of the Downtown Market. Lounge inside our cozy seating area and enjoy live local musicians through the course of the day. We offer a light sandwich menu and of course, amazing coffees and teas.

All of our coffee beans are certified organic shade grown, farm direct and fair trade. We support the Honduras Coffee Company a local family owned coffee farm. Beans are shipped in small batches to Virginia where the family’s roasting operation is located, and then sent overnight to hi-fi upon ordering. This guarantees the very freshest organic beans. Using Farm direct products minimizes our carbon footprint, making it the closest you can get to a “local” coffee. All of our coffee espresso drinks are accompanied by local Happy Cow grass fed milk. We build all of our drinks from scratch, homemade spicy ginger Chai lattes and a zesty orange Mexican hot chocolate are just a couple of our favorite specialty drinks. There is a real party with every sip.
We offer organic baked goods by local baker, Baked Asheville, our water is provided by local bottler, Blue Moon Water, and our eco-friendly cups come from Jacks Box Company. We are bike-friendly and always eco-conscious!

Richard and Pat Metcalf of Appalachian Arts & Crafts are an amazing artistic artistic duo. Each multi-talented in a variety of artist abilities.
Per Pat…Art has always been a way of expressing my emotions. I have been drawing since about the age of 4. Through the years, I have studied art using oil, pastels, watercolor and acrylics. In college, I considered a career in art, however I paint by mood, and wanted to savor it as a hobby. It relaxes and heals me to paint. I love animals, scenery and Christmas! Most of my art is done in acrylic, including the wood pieces in our shop. I am so thankful for my talent, it brings me great joy. If someone pauses and looks at what I have created, it’s a wonderful experience.
Richard says…I am a native of these Appalachian Mountains, having been born under the actual trail, many years ago. It gives me great pleasure to work with silver, copper, wood and with beads. I have been blessed with the loan of a little ability to create beautiful things. Forming the metal parts to make my chains and earrings, enjoying the beauty of wood as I form a table, a picture frame or a jewelry box or weaving baskets and chairs make me feel proud to emulate crafts done by early settlers of Appalachian Trail. It would be an honor to create something unique and custom especially for you.
By day, Jesse Cowan is a dental technician(who once worked on President Ronald Regan and his wife Nancy) – but when the weekend rolls around, Jesse takes on a different kind of persona here in the Market. His booth is full of antiques and fleatiques, great bargains, cool collectibles and a little of Jesse’s own handmade crafts, such as beautiful copper wire trees and floral & wreath arrangements. He also does creative gift wrapping for those “special” gifts. Some of his favorite samples of merchandise include vintage items such as glassware, lamps, and wooden frames. There is always something new, something old and something cool to be found in Jesse’s Craft booth.
But then there is a whole other side to Jesse Cowan. Put on the make-up and wha-la…RoBone the Clown is in the market – entertaining children of ALL ages with his clowning around, balloon animals and warm, loving persona.
Stop by and meet Jesse – he’s one of our favorite, and most long-standing merchants at the Downtown Market.
Heaven Rains Boys & Girls is an upscale children’s store for kids of all ages, located inside the Downtown Market in downtown Asheville, North Carolina. Our boutique features an elegant and unique collection of infant and children’s apparel; heirloom quality, handcrafted toys; and giftware.
Heaven Rains is committed to nurturing and protecting our environment and also to supporting important social structures. Here in our store, you’ll discover imaginative, eco-friendly play toys made of wood and metal, many of which are Waldorf and Montessori inspired. Under the Nile is a company that we are proud to feature. The founders of this organic-based organization traveled to Egypt, taught a community to grow organically, and marketed their products. Through those efforts they now support a hospital and school in that area. They are truly making a difference in the world community, and we honor their achievements by supporting them. Their line offers organic children’s apparel and infant bedding, soft toys and more.
Rosiland Whiteley is the founding mother of Heaven Rains Maternity and Children’s boutique. She is the mother of twin daughters. The idea for the store was divinely inspired by the arrival of her first grandchild, Nevaeh Rain. Look closely and you’ll see that Nevaeh is heaven spelled backwards. Rosiland’s dream was to support moms in as many as possible. She also wanted to help other talented moms who needed to work. So we also carry locally made, handcrafted items.
