Downtown Market presents 2nd Wine & Cheese Benefit Event supporting local non-profit Life o'Mike Peer Volunteer Programs
FRIDAY, August 13th - 4-7pm
The Downtown Market will partner with local non-profit, Life o'Mike, in hosting a Free Wine & Cheese event and raffle with proceeds supporting their Patient Pals & Family Friends peer support programs.
Life o'Mike President and CEO, Leslie Boyd, recently began this exciting new program that coordinates volunteers, by
matching up newly diagnosed patients with peers who have similar chronic illnesses and disabilities. And in that same vein, she also matches up
families who will become patient caregivers with families and caregivers who have faced the same type of illness-related situations.
The free wine & cheese event will be held on Friday August 13th from 4 to 7:00 p.m. at the Downtown Market, located in downtown Asheville at 45 S. French Broad Avenue, just off Patton Ave. at the west end of the Federal Building. Ample free parking is available on both sides of S. French Broad. Well known local singer Peggy Ratusz will perform. Raffle prize drawings include an original painting by Jonas Gerard, a Private Spa Pass for Two at Shoji Spa & Lodge. Other prizes include handcrafted scarves and treasures donated by Market merchants.
